Fred Hampton Leftists Appreciation Post
This past week I took a Twitter break and it was the longest one I have ever taken. When coming back to Twitter last night I was saddened to see one of my favorite news outlets fighting. The moment Fred Hampton leftists came out I was immediately a supporter. I remember having a conversation with my mom and she was telling me about the time she met Fred Hampton. My mom was an activist back in the day and she told me how compassionate he was and she always had a hatred for the cops for taking his life. Fred Hampton spoke a lot of truths and was criticized for speaking them. I always admired his passion and his determination.
The reason why I shared this is that each member that is part of the Fred Hampton Leftists has a piece of Fred Hampton. I have been honored to speak and learn about each member of this network. Each one of them has been in similar situations like everyone else. They share the struggles that are going on and whether they will admit it or not, to me they are the leaders we need.
As a whole, we have seen the left disintegrate and you know why? It is because everyone is so damn concerned with their ego and engage in mainstream media behavior. These days you cannot have a conversation with anyone without someone attacking you. We are living in a Hollywood culture and it’s time we change this. To be honest, I have been guilty of engaging in it. People seem to thrive on the drama and not actually listen to facts.
Most people try to even make it worse by adding their own twist. We should call out this factor. At this point, you may ask why I will tell you. There are a lot of so-called leftists who will come across as they are in solidarity with you. They will also preach the same kind of message such as we do not need drama. However, you find out later their true intention, which is to not only instigate but to try to stop the movement.
Accomplishing the overall goal is not easy in fact it is expected there will be smearing. However, these days it has escalated at a dangerous level and has created so many issues with their mental health. I always have said that 2020 was “the reveal” because people are just out and the open now. We live in a country of entitlement which has created so many problems that we are experiencing as a whole. We need to re-educate society. How you do that is by being in the streets talking to others and demonstrating your solidarity. Having a network that provides accurate information and also demonstrates empathy by witnessing their passion in real-time.
This is exactly what the Fred Hampton Leftists network is. Even with COVID going on, they are out there. Last night when they addressed this conflict, they handled this with such maturity. I appreciate that they had a discussion in private before airing a public apology. Everyone was hurt by what was going on. When I saw people in the comments calling people names I can understand that pain. To be honest, I probably would have done that too. If anyone was carefully listening, each person owned up to their mistakes and apologized. I know for most of you that may not be acceptable right now and also if you think like me, you would want that proven. I also think that is fair and will not attack you for that.
My personal message for each of you is this: Keep fighting and using your voice! Do not let bad faith attacks get to you. Remind yourselves they are there to try to stop you. I will also acknowledge that I will never truly know what it is like to be you and I will definitely call people out who seem to think they know. One of my favorite quotes by Fred Hampton is this, “I believe I am going to die doing the things I was born to do. I believe I am going to die high off the people. I believe I am going to die a revolutionary in the international revolutionary proletarian struggle.” I stand in solidarity with you all!
